Privacy Policy

WooTweaks (operated by Bodmerch cc) keeps this simple, because the site itself is simple. This page explains exactly what information wootweaks.com collects when you visit, and how it’s used.

What we collect

This is a mostly-static website with no contact forms, no newsletter sign-up, and no user accounts — so there’s no personal information you type in for us to collect, because there’s nowhere to type it.

The only data collected is through Google Analytics, which automatically gathers standard usage information as you browse: pages visited, time on page, approximate location (city/country level), device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. This is collected via cookies and similar technologies.

Why we collect it

Purely to understand how the site is used — which pages are helpful, where visitors come from, and where to improve. We don’t use this information to identify individuals, and we couldn’t if we tried.

Who we share it with

Google Analytics data is processed by Google under Google’s own privacy policy. We don’t sell, rent, or share visitor data with anyone else — there’s nothing else to share.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to distinguish you from other visitors. You’re free to disable cookies in your browser settings at any time — the site works exactly the same either way; only the analytics data is affected.

How long we keep it

Analytics data follows Google Analytics’ standard retention period as configured in our account. We hold no other personal data, because none is collected.

Your rights

Under South Africa’s POPIA and similar data-protection laws elsewhere, you have the right to know what’s collected about you and to opt out. You can do that by disabling cookies in your browser, or via a tool like Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on.

Questions

If anything here isn’t clear, email us at [email protected] — we’ll answer directly.

Changes to this policy

If what we collect or how we use it ever changes, this page will change with it, and the “last updated” date at the top will move.
